Aalayah EastmondStudent at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Survivor of the Parkland Shooting
Aalayah Eastmond is a 17-year old survivor of gun violence and student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. She was a keynote speaker at the March For Our Lives rally in Washington, DC. She bravely testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee at the Brett Kavanaugh hearing and told her story on national television. She is an Executive Council member of Team ENOUGH, an intersectional, diverse student-led organization that aims to prevent gun violence.
Aalayah has spoken at numerous events and traveled across the country to share her story, but uses this platform to focus mainly on amplifying the voices of students within communities of color.
